Monday, March 5, 2007 - Pulled from the Vinotemp - used Riedel Wine Line Chardonnay glasses. Opened and consumed without decanting. Light gold in color. Honey, quince and minerals on the slightly perfumey nose. Nose was deep but not overpowering. Subtle honey, pear and light citrus fruit, with excellent depth and a subtle yet penetrating focus. Acid , fruit and wood in nearly perfect balance with a seamless quality. Still a hint of acid at the end giving just a slight sense of freshness. Medium long finish. Increased in depth after half an hour and few more degrees of temperature. Hit its stride at about 45 minutes and 65 deg F. Feminine. Subtle, sensuous and delicious, with the last sip inviting the next. Could last perhaps another couple of years, but drinking really, really well right now.
