Friday, November 29, 2013 - Barnyard, Bordeaux earth, cedar and red fruit on the nose in AOC-typical fashion. Palate sports a wine that is extra on the acids, but mature, generous and formidably made in a rather challenging year. The tannic back-bone gave it poise and the sumi-ink aromas on the finish made us smile.
I can easily imagine that this must be one of the best left bankers of this unheralded vintage.
The btl we had was in excellent condition, showing potential for further development and good keeping.
Struck by a cold, at La Rochelle in Omotesando (Tokyo).
