Wednesday, October 9, 2013 - PnP; not much change through evening. Reddish violet. Nose features blue fruits with an herbaceous (stem?) component that harmonizes well. Also, mocha, tar and a dash of light pepper spice. Palate has medium fruit, resolving tannins and a good, but not tense, acidic backbone. I liked the balance of dark fruit and structure. Not complex and, while not clumsy, not multidimensional nor finesseful. Could hold further, but I will tee up remaining bottles for the coming year. (mistakenly posted this note originally as the 2006).
