Saturday, January 2, 2010 - The nose on this wine is money, beautiful pure cherries with black pepper and stems. The palate is a let down based on the nose but is still tasty enough. Lightly structured, some would say over-the-hill, lots of acidity but not balanced and virtually no tannin to speak of. One-dimensional palate of pure cherry fruit, shows some interesting character on the finish but ends very quickly and abruptly. A tasty drink, just don't expect fireworks. The age makes this an interesting wine though despite the lack of structure.
