Friday, February 6, 2015 - Alluring nose. All the notes are there from our last bottle drunk over five years ago. Fruit, smoke, herbs and anise but more mellow now. That is based on my last note as my memory is certainly not that good. Same with the palate. It has become more elegant and nuanced. It is a quieter and more thought provoking wine now. Still plenty of soft tannins on the finish so no need to rush. I am a big fan of Saint-Cosme wines and still trying to sort out the age at which I like them best. Ten years has not been wasted here.
