Tuesday, April 1, 2008 - Initially very opulent nose, that has closed down somewhat by day two. Fat, ripe, yellow fruit, balanced by good, citrus-like acidity. Very fat; more like an Auslese than a Spätlese. Still some spritz and also some SO2. Very opulent, but also very delicious. Difficult to predict how this will age; the material is there, but isn't it a bit too ripe? On day three, this hasn't budge in the least: opulent, fat, but good acidity and probably very, very young (however if you have several I would recommend tasting one now over several days by way of desert, it is just that delicious).
