Sunday, June 28, 2015 - The 2005 PYCM Corton Charlie is in a very pleasant place along its evolutionary curve, offering up a pretty expressive bouquet of ripe Meyer lemon, candied lime, pastry cream and a judicious tincture of nutty oak. On the palate the wine is really quite large-scaled, in keeping with the vintage, and while others found it just a bit too much of a good thing, I admired its volume, generosity and intensity. This is still fresh and bright with a healthy colour: aging gracefully.
