Thursday, April 18, 2013 - Opened and allowed wine to breathe about 30 minutes in the glass. With a good ruby color, the nose has a very strong mushroom and forest floor base with a hint of green pepper. On the palate there is a cherry compote with a background of allspice and white pepper. Pretty lively acidity. A brief finish. Paired with a pan-fried parmesan crusted steelhead. Drink up by 2015.
