Saturday, November 19, 2011 - Decanter Ridge Vineyards Masterclass (Landmark Hotel London): Nose with cassis fruit, charred wood notes and raisin. Ground coffee and espresso notes. Almost overripe. Palate is quite mature has a soft texture and although super-ripe the wine is not as concentrated as other vintages were. Flavours were inky, tarry and leathery with a licorice and iodine dimension to it. Complex wine with good management of tannins.
