Sunday, June 14, 2015 - Opened 10 hours before dinner, no decant. Beautiful and inviting ruby-garnet color, medium depth, clear at the rim. Just a bit shy on the nose, but showing violets, eucalpytus, oak, dark plum, toffee, and a touch of alcohol but nothing obtrusive. Lightish and exceptionally elegant on the palate, dark fruit, eucalypus, ripe tobacco, firmish tannins and good acidity. So smooth, almost feminine, and in such perfect balance, structured to last many years but superb now. Very Unico in style, though showing just a bit less depth and fruit than expected.
