Sunday, August 1, 2010 - Opened about 45 minutes before drinking. Shy nose. Plenty of blueberry on the palate, but a somewhat disappointing lack of pepper. Medium body and a decent finish. Explosive fruit on the palate, but still reasonably well balanced. If anything, the tannins dominated the fruit, which suggests that it should improve over the course of the next year or two. Not much complexity, but, given the price, I hadn't expected much. Good value.
