Friday, February 10, 2012 - Nose and flavor profile changed over the course of 2-3 hour decant. Initial nose showed powerful fruit which mirrored the rich, full body of the wine. Over the course of decanting the wine, nose moved away from fruit and more towards some dust and vegetal notes. This was a great wine. Tasted the 2010 in December which was absolutely fantastic. Tannins on the 2005 were still pretty potent, so will wait a couple of years before opening our next bottle.
