Wednesday, December 25, 2013 - This sparkler is said to have approx 1/3 of each Chard, Pinot and Muniere. Supposedly an ideal aperitif wine.
Beautiful stream of tiny bubbles, with a rich mousse.
The nose is quite muted, with med(-) hints of lemon, red apple, all spice, and not much else that I can detect.
On the palate, much more in the way of flavors, with rich apple pie, lemon meringue, a faint spiciness, and a med(-) finish that is far too short for what I was expecting for this cuvée.
A very good quality sparkler, ready to drink, and will be nice over the next 3 or so years. Nice, but simple and uninteresting for the tariff.
