Sunday, October 5, 2008 - Took an hour or two to truly open up to its potential. Quite tight directly out of the bottle.
Deep purple. Moderate viscocity. Deep aromas of dark red berries. Dark cherries, currants.
Dark red flowers and tons of mocha and vanilla notes dominate the senses.
The palate shows more dark red fruit with nice baking spice.
The finish is moderately complex with balanced tannins and moderate to high acidity.
This Merlot will age effortlessly for another five to ten years.
