Saturday, September 29, 2012 - Deep garnet in the glass. Aroma is drinkable itself, and it's clear that this is Anderson Valley fruit. You can smell the sun and soil in every sip. On the taste side, look for lots of dark fruit and pepper. The tannins have settled out since my last bottle four years ago, but still have room to soften. A long finish and still evident tannins tell me that this vintage has another 5-6 years of life in it.
