96 Points

Wednesday, June 17, 2015 - Slow ox for 3 hours, decanted for 1 hour. The nose was minty with wild berries, stones, flowers and spices. Throughout a three hour dinner, the wine really opened up. The ripeness of 05 vintage slowly emerged with a very well balanced sweetness coming around towards the middle of the dinner. The finish was long and round with lush on the palate. This one is really the standard of a perfect burgundy and a masculine DRC. It is too young today, but it will be entering its drinking window in 10 years. By that time, I would imagine its a 97-98.
