Wednesday, August 16, 2006 - Surprisingly refined nose - lots of rancio character and bright, limey, toasted brown sugar and caramel-type notes with light VA. A well-supported, intense palate, though a lack of density to the flavors means no mistaking this for an older vintage wine. More subtle sweetness. Not quite at the level of the RWC Madeiras, but a very nice wine for the price.
