Wednesday, July 25, 2012 - Not that much into Cabs. Bought them 20+ years ago when I was first getting into wine. Glad I bought this one. I've had it since release. No ullage. Corked snapped in half, but was only saturated half way up. Moderate sediment. Decanted off. Had it over a couple of hours with friends and a rack of lamb on the grill. Lovely penetrating aromas of cedar and cigar box/tobacco. To a lesser extent there was black currant. Reserved (my reason for never really having a love affair with cabs), but interesting complexity with a long delicious finish. I see that the average price is $75 (I paid $31 on release). If you can buy it for $75 it would be a steal. This was my last and only bottle. I haven't had this vintage before and the other bottle went to my ex in the divorce.
