Wednesday, February 24, 2016 - Color: deep, deep burnished gold. Bouquet of golden raisins, coconut, toffee and creme brulee that somebody spent a little too much time torching. Sweet palate of toffee and light. slightly burnt citrus elements. Not a lot of complexity here, even for a very good/excellent vintage. Low acidity and a short-to-medium finish suggests this is not going anywhere better so drink soon. Lafaurie was still in a slump and would be until the early 80's and this definitely shows it.
