Monday, December 21, 2015 - Decanted for 2h at 1862 restaurant. From a magnum. A powerful inky red, with woodsy red fruit and intense cedar on the nose and palate. Some spice too. Lots of tannins, not obtrusive, but which indicate plenty of life yet. Try again in 2-5 years. Tonight, it paired well with duck breast and candied fruit, followed by gorgonzolla in the cheese course.
