Tuesday, April 28, 2015 - 3rd of 4 bottles purchased 2014 ex cellar. This was a very nice old wine - best of the 3 I've consumed. Similar to first bottle, but with more fruit. 2nd bottle was a little tired. This bottle: Long legs, medium bricking. Nose of cherries, cedar, mint and florals. Medium mouthfeel with good acidity and and nice primary fruit, cherries and orange peel. Fruit continues with minerals, cedar, tobacco and leather in the mid-palate and finish, with lemon and orange emerging more and a lingering ceder/minty note. Long finish. Very enjoyable!

4/30/2015 8:19:00 PM - Just a quick double decant to eliminate sediment. Good to go right away with a little change in glass. I don't think the wine would benefit from a significant decant.
