Tuesday, June 21, 2016 - Tasted at the winery, by the glass. Fairly sure this was PnP so not much time to open up. Still, what an achievement; plenty of mineral, black cherry and berry fruit. Structure too, but the tannins are refined and well integrated. Full bodied, next time I will make sure to decant for at least 2h. I had a hard time deciding which I liked best: the mellowed '06 or the big and bold '11. Both so different, I decided to pick up one of each.

6/22/2016 5:24:00 PM - Thanks for your note and rating. Right!? Great, but quite different, across the vintages. The property is fantabulous! Did you dine at Le Belle Perdrix?

6/23/2016 10:05:00 AM - The property is indeed super gorgeous. We got to try the glass of 2006 by the pool overlooking St. Emilion in the distance across the vineyards. Unfortunately I didn't get a chance to dine at the restaurant on the property. I learned on the tour it was awarded a Michelin star in the winter, but sadly it was closed on the day we visited. :-(
