Thursday, October 16, 2008 - Has the color and viscosity of 0w30 motor oil. Nose shows lots of spicy, funky (moldy) oak, a white nut, and wet, dried wheat. Smells almost a bit maderized. Not as creamy in the mouth as it looks, most medium bodied showing some caramelized notes. Finishes with some old pear and apple and quite a bit of stomach acid (not that it produces; it actually tastes of it). The fruit here is very musty and old, and not entirely appealing. Tastes a bit too oxidized for me, but still interesting. I think this just isn't a very fresh bottle.
