Saturday, November 22, 2014 - Dark ruby color, but translucent rather than inky. This is evolving in the glass - revealing scents of white pepper, meat, mineral, earth, cinnamon spice and plummy blue fruit. On the palate, this is still a bit tight showing black raspberry fruit, earth and good structure with acidity, earth, chalky minerals and significant grip on the finish. Just a baby at nine years old. This should improve and unwind with more time in a cool cellar.
