Thursday, January 31, 2013 - Bouquet: Some earth and smoky wood, firm black currant.
Flavor: Like the bouquet. Not a long finish but still good.
Palate: Still firm tannins could use up to another 10 years.
Comment: Classic St. Julien. David, Philip and PJ preferred this to the Chasse-Spleen--perhaps liking firm rather than rounded tannins and the black currant character.
