Monday, February 3, 2014 - Just a touch of age on the color. Clean nose, palate is more of same but quite intense and slightly inky. Plums, cherry, medium to full bodied. Mid palate and finish of sour cherry. Not familiar with the carignan but you can detect the cab merlot and the heat and ripeness of the south. Slightly longer than a medium finish, decent wine overall with some of the sassicaia magic but not much.
