Thursday, May 5, 2016 - Such a great nose on opening! Blackberry, plum, black cherry, and baking spice. Picked up tobacco and a hint of cocoa powder within a few minutes in the decanter. Sensational dusty texture & body with flavors in complete agreement with the nose. In a great spot right now where the tannins are very fine and accent the body and finish, with nice acidity that helps the finish last over a minute as it slowly fades. Not shy at all, but certainly not over the top. The only thing keeping me from scoring this higher is the slight presence of alcohol on the nose, which was a bit more noticeable on the finish.

If my wife wore this as perfume, we'd never leave the bedroom.
