Tasted non blind. Opened and decanted about one hour before serving.
Dark garnet to almost purple color in the glass, clear looking throughout. Nose of roasted meat, a little tar and plenty of currants and dried plums. Flavors of black berries, currants and dark plums. Medium acidity, medium tannin, full bodied. Drink over the next few years. Ready to go.
