Tuesday, August 21, 2007 - Lovely but fading. Dry leather at first open, it responded to air and came alive for an hour and a half before starting to decay a bit. Really enticing aromas and flavors of leather and shoe polish with overripe, at-the-cusp-of-oxidized, slightly sharp, cherry fruit. Very much a seductive older woman, an analogy I might want to avoid given my advancing age. Not a good wine for those in search of a quickie, but as Janis said, "get it while you can."
