Saturday, July 26, 2008 - Initial Impression: Nose is very clean with black fruit and little else. First sip has a clean initial entry, then the tannins kick up, killing the finish. Needs air, gasping for air!
25 Minutes: Deeper, more complex, with elements of dark roast coffee and earth mixing with the black fruits. Tannins are more manageable and the finish is very long. Far better than the bottle I tired last year, this has all the elements for a great bottle with strong aging potential.
90 Minutes: no further change and still a great drink. Salut.
