Monday, May 18, 2015 - A bottle I had less than a year ago was still OK, so I assumed this one would be too. I couldn't have been more wrong. This was beyond dead. It was dead and rapidly decaying. For a Cabernet that's this expensive, from a producer this exalted, this is inexcusable. I know that 2004 Cabernets from people like Pride and Chappellet are just now hitting their peak, yet this comparably priced 2005 is DOA? Because of their weird 2012, I had just about decided to stop buying Caymus Cabernets. With this one, that decision is no longer tentative.
