Saturday, March 7, 2015 - Bright orange gold. Shy nose when cold, opens up to orange peel, oily salt, singed sugar, and a bit of alcohol. The palate is spicy, savory overripe citrus and roasted nuts, edged is brine and deep acidity, the very long finish shows much like the palate, with old wood and alcohol reminder. This wine nicely balances its aged fino character with wood aging, and just a little heat.
