Monday, June 1, 2015 - Upon pouring the wine opens up beautifully with dried cherry, cedar wood, and herbal characters including cinnamon, cloves and nutmeg. The body is interesting, since a lot is going on but it still goes down very smoothly. There is very high acidity, and medium+ tannin, but still a light to medium body. The finish lingers for a long time with pronounced oak aspects, almost leaving an impression of honey or caramel, though the wine is dry. Lovely and elegant are the best words to describe it.
