Saturday, August 29, 2009 - Angela's Birthday Party (Crown Wine Cellars, Hong Kong): Decanted for 2-3 hours beforehand. Dark, opaque colour but lightened to translucent blood red at the edge. Nose of fresh blueberries with lifted acid notes and pencil lead. Similar sensations on the palate with a sharp, precise, heavy and extremely long, resonant finish. Still rather young and tart but gorgeous. A bit thin on the palate compared to the other wines tonight. Could probably have done with longer decanting.
