Saturday, June 12, 2010 - At San Antonio vertical. Outside of 2000, a favorite of the night. This is a purple colored gem with notes of flowers and black fruits on nose. Palate is also tannic, although slightly less though than 2000 or 2002. Has very chewy palate with a touch of oak, deep black cherry fruit with some minerality and spice. The fruit in this vintage is really pristine and the finish nearly as long as the bold 2000. As the night went on, this wine got better and better.
