Friday, May 12, 2006 - (no formal notes) - Ahhhhh – what a difference a Bordeaux makes. This is not great or contemplative, but there is a refinement here that the Chateauneuf’s do not have. Very classic cassis nose followed by a medium bodied, elegant wine. Neither powerful or wimpy, this is a wine to drink with food. It is all Bordeaux, with nothing flashy that a collector would desire. I am quite happy to have a bunch of this to drink over the next few years. I bought this for a song and am very happy. (15.5)
