Sunday, June 21, 2015 - One of the best wines I've ever tasted. Garnet/brick in color, purple rim, medium legs. Decanted 3 hours. Nose opened up with a strong black cherries, black raspberries, and Logan berries, with a background of smoke and old growth forest floor. Dark fruits on the palate, with sufficient acidity to provide a crisp and bright pinot. Tanins were silky-smooth, with a lingering fruit and smoke finish. Drank father's day with BQ salmon. Terrific wine; well worth waiting for.
