Thursday, May 21, 2015 - Solaia ! (Milano c/o Pandolfini): One of the epic vintages.
Vivid garnet red.
Intense and complex and fine nose: centered on "wild" notes: Leather, game, and then ripe fruit. At the end spices (cloves) and balsamic.
Nice structure of fruit, elegant tannins and good acidity. Overall balanced still to smooth. More "rustic" than elegant and decaying fast once opened.
