Wednesday, December 21, 2011 - Enjoyed over two nights. Beautiful nose. Was somewhat reductive on day one - but smooths out nicely on day two. Still funky but in a very "Alban" sort of way with black fruit, creosote, tar and spice notes. Palate flavor profile echos the nose. Really digging it. Medium-rich black fruit with juicy acidity providing freshness. More intense on the front palate - kind of fades lightly in the mouth into short-ish, one note finish. But the nose and initial attack is so satisfying and memorable. As usual, great for the price.
