Saturday, March 26, 2011 - Very dark purple. Oak and heat on the nose initially, but after 15-20 minutes that gave way to nicely balanced dark fruit and vanilla. Similar flavors on the palate with black cherry, black currant and bell pepper. Smooth mouth feel and finish. The scores would indicate that this has aged well. At $17 at the state monopoly store winter sale, quite a QPR.
