Sunday, October 20, 2013 - Almost no nose, and very tannic and almost harsh out of the bottle. We decanted about four hours. After about two, the nose had come alive, but it was still arguing with the palate. We crossed our fingers, and served it with dinner. By then, it had smoothed out. Lots of strawberries and red cherries on the palate, with a pleasant, long finish. It definitely benefitted from the air, and it could get even better with some more time in the bottle.
