Friday, February 7, 2014 - This wine is what made my wife and I really appreciate Chardonnay. Unfortunately it's our last bottle. The nose is intense with aromas of lemon oil, marmalade, hazelnut and touch of mineral. At almost 9 years of age it has developed a nice golden color but it was always pretty dark if I remember correctly. Palate has flavors of lemon, butterscotch, lime and again a hint of mineral. Got a touch of heat on there as well but not enough to be a detriment. Ends with a very long finish of at least 30-35 seconds. just as good as I remember it and it seems this wine still has a lot of life.
