Tuesday, September 9, 2008 - I like Savennieres - think it's one of the most distinctive whites out there. This one: Moderate nose, lemon verbena, wet stones and herbs. On the palate - bang, acidity hits you but also some nice citrus and a great sensation of minerality. Saved part of the bottle overnight...
...edited to add day 2 impressions: wow, the nose developed a real funk redolent of soft, ripe cheese and the wet stones morphed to wet concrete. The palate stayed pretty consistent, though perhaps the acidity moderated a little and the minerality became more prominent.
