88 Points

Friday, July 1, 1988 - Dark carmine with a brown edge. Deep and rich bouquet. Complex with a lot of nuances, cassis and good oak. The taste is full bodied, spreading in the whole mouth, with liquorice, cassis, and some iron. There are dry and young sticky tannin. Long and complex aftertaste. Overall a beautiful, but a little straight forward wine. Nevertheless it has a lot to offer and I would not mind having a case in this stage, because the wine has potential for several years.
