Saturday, November 1, 2014 - This is a clear, medium intensity gold colour. It has a clean nose, with medium intensity. Smells of oak, and nectarine, with a pleasant toastiness. A dry wine, with medium acidity, and a full body. Flavours are more obvious, with the oak, and nectarine, apricot, and lychees prevalent. Undertones of baked fruit. A long finish. this is a very good quality wine. I'm surprised at the cool climate characteristics, given the location of Kumeu River, but they are very apparent. Quite an elegant wine.
