Wednesday, April 30, 2014 - Dense dark visuals and oaky nose, with a somewhat "barrique italiano" feel to it. Black cherries, dark plum, lots of wood and a hint of gravel. Don't really find the foremost bordeaux markers: cassis, lead pencil and so on. Better on the palate, which is dry and coarsely tannic with moderate fruit. Works quite well as companion to a rustic hamburger, less tempting to drink on its own. Still youthful, should improve for another five.
