Sunday, May 27, 2012 - From an excellent looking bottle, this wine had a medium yellow center and clear rims. The medium+ intensity nose displayed apple, honey, white stone and a hint of marzipan.
In the mouth, the wine was ripe and rich with substantial acidity and excellent length. Unfortunately, it was tainted by a hint ethyl acetate that held back my score. Despite this, the underlying material was obvious.
While drinkable, I would give this another 5 years in the cellar. Other bottles should improve. This one was debatable.
