Wednesday, October 27, 2010 - – popped and poured –
– tasted non-blind over a few hours –
NOSE: some pinot funk; gentle, yet expressive; cool red berries; kirsch; quite pleasant.
BODY: mahogany color of medium-light depth; superfine particulate matter throughout, but the wine was pretty clear, nonetheless; medium-light bodied.
TASTE: juicy acidity; still lots of fruit on this sucker, and the concentration of fruit is rather impressive; pomegranate; fresh; some woodsy funk on the long finish; finish is of medium intensity; integrated tannins; full palate; 13% alc. is not noticeable; barely tastes aged. I liked it.
