Tuesday, July 22, 2014 - This wine was surprisingly delicious. I was a little apprehensive as I've had a Willow Creek Cuvee which was a hot mess at this age, and I've had a number Paso Robles wines (Booker comes to mind) which where bruisers, unpairable with food, and palate-fatiguing. This was none of the above. Time has rounded out all the hard edges and it had wonderful balance, very fruit-driven, but with nice structure to support it. Everyone who tasted this thought it was a fun, easy-going, enjoyable expression of Rhone varieties. Not as complex or intellectual as the top wines in this category, but this was undoubtedly a crowd-pleaser. This bottle was finished with a screw-cap.
