Saturday, December 1, 2012 - Appearance: Bright and clear, medium gold in colour, with legs.
Nose: Clean, with medium (+) intensity of floral notes of elderflower and honeysuckle, citrus notes of lemon, maturity notes of honey, mineral notes of kerosene and some stone fruit notes of peach, showing developing characters.
Palate: Sweet, with medium (+) acidity, low alcohol and medium body, the wine has medium intensity flavors of citrus notes such as lemon peel, floral notes of honeysuckle, mineral notes of kerosene, stone fruit of apricot and maturity notes of honey, with a medium finish.
Conclusion: Very good quality super-premium botrytized German Riesling, with a fairly concentrated nose showing good complexity, the wine has a good balance, with the acidity providing the freshness to balance the sweetness making it highly lively and not cloying. The only point making this wine not an outstanding one is the lack of a longer finish. Ready to drink now and can benefit from further ageing of another 10+ years.
